LEGO Daft Punk Ideas Set Confirmed for 2027 Release

LEGO is finally bringing Daft Punk into the brick universe. This isn't just a rumour; it's a full-blown partnership announcement. Your wallet might be sweating a bit, but this is big news for music and LEGO fans alike.

The collaboration between the LEGO Group and the iconic French electronic music duo Daft Punk is set to bring us an official LEGO Ideas set. This project has roots in the LEGO Ideas community, specifically a fan submission of the Daft Punk pyramid stage from their 2007 ALIVE tour. That fan-made concept, a passion project by a father and son, hit the 10,000-supporter milestone and has now been greenlit for an official release.

This isn't just about a set, though. The partnership spans products, content, and brand experiences, aiming to blend the worlds of music, culture, and creative experimentation. The announcement included a short film featuring Daft Punk minifigures exploring a LEGO-built console, all soundtracked by the duo's tracks "Voyager" and "Human After All."

Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at the LEGO Group, highlighted the shared appeal of both brands, noting their ability to inspire generations through creativity and innovation. This suggests the upcoming set will aim to capture that spirit, offering a build that resonates across ages.

While the exact set number and pricing are still under wraps, the release is slated for 2027. This gives us plenty of time to anticipate what the final product will look like. Given the fan-submitted design was the famous pyramid stage, it's highly probable that will be the focus of the official set.

Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. No specific set numbers have surfaced, but expect it on LEGO.in and Toycra once details emerge. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. If this were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix Premium — assuming LEGO India's usual enthusiasm for your wallet.

The LEGO Ideas platform has a history of delivering unique and sought-after sets, and a Daft Punk theme is sure to be a major draw. We'll be keeping a close eye on further announcements regarding this exciting collaboration. For now, the anticipation builds for a 2027 release that promises to be a harmonious blend of music and bricks.

Verdict: WAIT — check prices at LEGO.in and Toycra before pulling the trigger.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
