LEGO Castle’s Kraken Knights Get a Towering Fan Build

LEGO Castle sets are rarer than a good monsoon these days, but the company has been dropping new factions like they're going out of style. We've seen Horse, Snake, and Griffon crests recently, and now the Kraken Knights are getting some serious fan love. While we all wish LEGO would bring back full playsets for every new faction, thankfully talented MOC creators are stepping up.

Gabriel Midgely, also known as Noldor Lego, has built a truly magnificent Kraken Knight tower. This isn't some official LEGO release, mind you, but proof of what dedicated builders can achieve. The tower's subtly sloping hexagonal shape is a masterclass in SNOT (Studs Not On Top) building, using cheese slopes for those clean, sharp corners. The color gradient, transitioning from water tones below to darker shades above, really brings the sea character into the architecture. And those spindly pylons? They create a striking silhouette that just screams "Beware the Kraken!"

This build was part of the "No Bley" category in the Summer Joust competition, and honestly, it fits the Kraken Knights perfectly. The nougat and dark orange colors complement the green uniforms of the knights beautifully. It's a smart aesthetic choice that really makes the faction stand out.

But wait, there’s more. Hidden around the tower’s foundation, you'll find merfolk. Are they friendly neighbors or a dangerous deterrent to invaders? That’s the kind of lore we love to see fan builds spark. Gabriel has been a consistent favorite for Castle MOCs over the years, tackling everything from Skyrim to spooky gothic settings. He’s also a concept artist, and his skills shine through in an illustration he did that brings the Kraken Knight minifigure to life beyond the bricks. It’s impressive work all around from a builder who clearly has a passion for the medieval theme.

Since this is a fan creation and not an official LEGO set, there are no set numbers or official Indian pricing available. Importing fan builds directly is often a complex and costly affair, usually involving significant shipping fees and potential customs duties. If this were an official set, we'd expect a price point that would make you pause, perhaps equivalent to several months of your favorite streaming subscription. For now, it remains a spectacular example of what the LEGO Castle community can create.

No official Indian prices or availability are known for this fan-made build. If LEGO were to release a comparable official set, expect it to cost upwards of ₹20,000, which is about 10 months of Spotify Premium. Keep an eye on MyBrickHouse and Toycra for any future official Castle releases. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
