Forget EMI, This LEGO NYC Apple Costs More Than 100 Plates of Pani Puri

The global LEGO machine has spat out another one. This time, it’s a LEGO Architecture set, 21066 New York City – The Big Apple. Apparently, the architects have decided that buildings are too… solid. So, they’ve taken the entire city, mashed it into the shape of an apple, and called it art. It’s 1,456 pieces of this abstract nonsense, designed to look like a skyline silhouetted against a dark sky. This follows their equally baffling Paris – City of Love set, which proves that LEGO Architecture has officially run out of actual buildings to replicate.

This ‘masterpiece’ is set to land globally on June 1, 2026. Now, let’s talk about what this apple is going to cost you. In the US, it’s US$139.99. In the UK, £129.99. And in the EU, a cool €139.99.

The INR price for this abstract apple is estimated to be ₹15,999 (USD 139.99 1.35 85 INR/USD). It will likely land in India with a 4–6 week lag, potentially available at Toycra or MyBrickHouse, or it might be an import-only affair given the creative liberties taken. For that price, you could buy approximately 100 plates of pani puri from a decent street vendor, or perhaps a month’s worth of Spotify Premium. A tough choice, indeed.

This isn’t just a LEGO set; it’s a statement. A statement that says, "I have too much disposable income and an inexplicable desire to own a plastic apple with tiny buildings in it." While they claim it captures the 'energy and vibe' of New York, I suspect it captures more of your hard-earned money.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye.

Verdict: AVOID. Novelty item at a price that makes no sense.
