Bricklink Designer Program Series 8 pre‑order deadline looms; Indian fans brace for price shock

Your wallet just rang the alarm: less than 24 hours left to lock in the Bricklink Designer Program Series 8 sets, and the price tags will make your EMI calculator sweat. The countdown ticks down to 12 pm PDT on 18 June, so if you’ve been eyeing any of the five models you need to act now or watch them disappear.

Series 8 brings a mix of castle‑themed and pirate‑flavored builds. The lineup includes Dustmark Keep (US$349.99), Coconut Cape (US$209.99), Brick Railroad Locomotive (US$119.99), Hot Air Balloon (US$79.99) and University of Science (US$359.99). All are still available for pre‑order through LEGO.com, and the crowdfunding window closes tomorrow. Once the window shuts, LEGO will start shipping the sets around November 2026, at which point you’ll be billed for whatever you secured.

The US pricing gives a rough idea of the budget you’ll need, but the Indian market is still in the dark. No Indian retailer has posted a concrete MRP yet, and the conversion from dollars to rupees will likely push these sets well into the five‑figure range. That means you’ll be looking at a spend that could rival a few months of Netflix or a high‑end washing‑machine EMI.

For Indian fans, the usual lag of 4–6 weeks after the global launch applies, so even after the November shipping window you’ll still be waiting for the bricks to hit local shelves. Keep an eye on both MyBrickHouse and Toycra – they’re the go‑to stores for Bricklink Designer releases, and they’ll be the first to list the sets once they arrive.

Check Toycra for availability. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Check MyBrickHouse for availability. If this were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix Premium.

Verdict: WAIT. Good set, but the price will drop.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
